I was disappointed that I was unable to find a cut of this song on Youtube, so made a quickie video from my own recording to post up.
Hula Hula Boys was allegedly Dr. Hunter S. Thompson's favorite Zevon song...probably because of the despair theme. ;-)
This comes from a soundboard recoding of a live performance, December 8, 1990 at the Chestnut Cabaret in Philadelphia. The whole show has this ultra-laid-back sound to it and I hope to get some other songs up from it at some point.
I'm listening to Things to do in Denver When You're Dead as I type this up. This might be a bit more appropriate later in the week when we hit the anniversary of Thompson's checking out.
