They made a special point this week of announcing how they will be allowing in "non-accredited" journalists to cover the Olympics. From my quick and relatively uneducated read of this, it sounds like standing room tickets to a concert or sporting event. They'll be allowed in the door, will be able to see it, but won't have all the privileges (like access to the information network) as the accredited folks will have.
This is all fine and dandy if they're covering the table tennis or synchronized swimming, but what happens when the bored or otherwise-motivated journalist starts talking about what it's really like in China and how some of its less-happy citizens are living.
This will be interesting to watch!
