You have had to wonder what the fall out would be from literally [sorry] building cities as fast as they were/are building them in China. Surely some sacrifices were made for the sake of speed.
I think it will be very interesting in 20 years or so, what kind of shape their infrastructure will be in. Of course, they will likely cash in some US bonds to build new ones, but thats another argument.
I can't even fathom the level of death and destruction that happened.
